100% Swiss

A traditional 1st August farm brunch is a fixed feature in many Swiss people’s diaries. For over 30 years farming families throughout Switzerland have been extending invitations to a farm brunch. Whether in the stable, the barn or up on the alp – the offers are highly varied and specific to the individual farm. They all have one thing in common though – a hearty and delightfully prepared buffet with home-made and regional products in a unique farm setting. It doesn’t get more Swiss than this.

Booking

The 1st August Farm Brunch is held every year between 09:00 and 13:00 on Switzerland’s National Day. You should contact the farming family directly for the details, costs and programme and also for booking. The contact details for your brunch farm can be found in the profile in the Farm Search. Since the number of seats is limited, you need to make a booking with the farming family.

Brunch Magazine

In the run-up to 1st August, the Brunch Magazine is published, featuring a different focal theme every year. It contains exciting reports about farmers, valuable facts about agriculture, a competition, regional recipes and a great deal more. Take a look at the current Magazine now.
