Summer – peak season in the fields
In summer, every helping hand is needed on the farm. The harvest of wheat, barley and canola is in full swing. Vegetables such as courgettes, beans and tomatoes are also ripe now and go straight to farm shops. Long, sunny days mean full baskets, but also a great deal of work, as after the harvest the fields have to be prepared for the next sowing.
